Accessibility Statement

Our commitment to making information about veterinary anesthesia care and education accessible to everyone.

Last updated: May 25, 2026

01  ·  Commitment

Our commitment to accessibility

MACvet is committed to ensuring that www.macvetservices.com is accessible to people with disabilities. We believe everyone should have equal access to information about veterinary anesthesia care and education, regardless of ability, technology, or device.

02  ·  Standards

Conformance standards

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard widely referenced under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and similar regulations.

Conformance is an ongoing effort. We test the Site regularly and prioritize improvements as part of our development process.

03  ·  Measures Taken

Accessibility features in place

The Site has been built with the following accessibility considerations:

  • Semantic HTML structure with appropriate landmarks and heading hierarchy
  • ARIA labels on interactive elements such as the navigation menu, social media links, and form controls
  • Keyboard navigation support throughout the Site
  • Visible focus indicators on links, buttons, and form inputs
  • Descriptive alt text on informational images
  • Color choices and text sizes intended to support sufficient contrast
  • Responsive layout that adapts to mobile, tablet, and desktop screen sizes
  • Form fields with associated labels and clear error messaging
  • Status and alert regions announced to assistive technology after form submission

04  ·  Known Limitations

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some areas of the Site may not yet fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA. Known limitations include:

  • Embedded third-party content (e.g., social media feeds) is governed by the third party's own accessibility practices and may not meet the same standards
  • Some clinical images in blog posts may have alt text that is brief; we are working to improve descriptive coverage
  • Animated content uses motion that respects browser-level reduced-motion settings where supported by our animation library, but may not be fully suppressed in every context

If you encounter a barrier we have not listed here, please tell us — see the feedback section below.

05  ·  Compatibility

Compatibility with assistive technology

The Site is designed to be compatible with recent versions of:

  • Major desktop and mobile browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari)
  • Screen readers including VoiceOver (macOS/iOS), NVDA (Windows), JAWS (Windows), and TalkBack (Android)
  • Keyboard-only navigation and standard browser zoom up to 200%

Older browsers or assistive technologies may not fully support all features. If you experience trouble, updating to a current version of your browser or screen reader typically improves compatibility.
