01 · Educational Use
Content is educational, not advice
All clinical, medical, pharmacological, and procedural content on www.macvetservices.com — including blog posts, guideline summaries, drug protocol references, monitoring discussions, and resource pages — is provided for educational and informational purposes only.
Site content is intended to support veterinary professionals in their continuing education and clinical decision-making. It is not a substitute for the independent professional judgment of a licensed veterinarian evaluating an individual patient.
02 · No VCPR
No veterinarian-client-patient relationship
Visiting this Site, reading its content, or contacting MACvet through the Site does not create a veterinarian-client-patient relationship (VCPR) as defined under the applicable State Veterinary Practice Act or the AVMA Principles of Veterinary Medical Ethics.
A VCPR with MACvet is established only through a separately executed Consultation and Training Service Agreement and the specific case-based interactions defined within it.
03 · Clinical Judgment
Clinical judgment by the attending veterinarian is required
Every patient is unique. Anesthetic protocols, drug doses, monitoring strategies, and procedural decisions must be tailored to the specific patient by the attending veterinarian based on:
- Current physical examination findings
- Diagnostic results (laboratory, imaging, etc.)
- Comorbidities, concurrent medications, and prior anesthetic history
- Species, breed, age, and weight
- The proposed procedure and its risks
- Available equipment, monitoring, and support staff
Responsibility for clinical case outcomes rests with the attending veterinarian and veterinary practice. Information on the Site must not be applied to a specific case without independent verification and professional judgment.
04 · Drug Information
Drug protocols, doses, and product information
Drug names, doses, routes, combinations, and protocols discussed on the Site reflect general practice patterns and published evidence at the time of writing. They may include off-label or extra-label uses that are common in veterinary anesthesiology.
Before administering any drug to a patient, the attending veterinarian must independently verify:
- Dose, concentration, and route appropriate to the individual patient
- Current product labeling, contraindications, and warnings
- Compatibility with concurrent medications and the patient's health status
- Compliance with applicable controlled substance and prescribing regulations
MACvet does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or current applicability of any drug or protocol information on the Site.
05 · External Sources
References and external links
The Site may reference or link to external publications, guidelines, manufacturer information, or third-party resources. We provide these references as a convenience and do not endorse, verify, or assume responsibility for the content or accuracy of any third-party material. Always consult primary sources and current product labeling.
06 · Emergency Notice
Not for emergencies
The Site is not a substitute for emergency veterinary care. If you have a veterinary emergency — for your own patient or your own pet — contact your nearest emergency veterinary hospital immediately. Submitting a contact form through the Site is not an appropriate method to request emergency or time-sensitive clinical assistance.
07 · No Warranty
No warranty of clinical outcome
MACvet makes no representation or warranty, express or implied, that following information or guidance on the Site will produce any particular clinical outcome. Anesthetic and procedural risk cannot be eliminated. To the fullest extent permitted by law, MACvet disclaims all liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages — including patient morbidity, mortality, or end-client dissatisfaction — arising from reliance on Site content.
08 · Reporting Inaccuracies
Reporting inaccuracies or concerns
We take accuracy seriously. If you believe content on the Site is inaccurate, outdated, or unsafe, please let us know by emailing info@macvetservices.com with a citation or specific concern.
